Cross Stitch
Over the years, I have enjoyed cross stitching pieces for family and friends. Here are some pictures of a few. I wish that I had taken the time to take better pictures of each.
This is a kit that sat in my closet for many years. When I tried to introduce x-stitch to Ian, I got it out and started working on it. Not sure how long it took but I think it was about 3-4 years. I really enjoyed working on it and would start another project of this size if I find one that speaks to me. Linda and I took it to California with us over thanksgiving 2019 to give it to Aaron and Lacey as a wedding present. (Dimensions - 3867 Lost No More - The Gold Collection)
These Precious Moments Wedding party and Bride and Groom hang in our living room. I had made the Bride and Groom before our wedding and given it to Linda as a present. I do not remember when I started working on the wedding party, but I do remember finding the rolled up, unfinished clothe in a box years later. I finished it and had it framed along with the Bride and Groom and gave it to Lin as an anniversary present. I had also made groomsmen for each of the guys in the wedding party. Didn't take pictures though.
One of the most detailed projects that I have done was for Greg and Sue. It is of a farm that reminded me of the farm that we grew up on in Gap. Unfortunately, I do not have picture of it.
These were made for Kirsten. Again, the black background intrigued me and I liked that there were multiple pieces that went together.
Made this one as a present for Lin when we were in college. It was a fun project that took a lot longer than I expected. It was supposed to be a surprise, so I worked on it in secret during lunch at work and at home when she was away.
These are a couple that I worked on at Kenbrook bible camp during the summers. Each was given to Linda as a gift.
I had started doing cross stitch as a hobby in high school. This little owl is the first one that I ever made. Later, mom turned it into a heart.
