Philippi, West Virginia - July 10-16, 2016
Reynold's Deck |
There were a couple of main projects that we worked on during our week in Phillipi, West Virginia. Part of the group worked to build a deck on the front of the Reynold house. We also fixed up the back deck and cleaned up garbage from the property.
|
It was fun getting everyone involved. Ian even had a chance to get some work done.
Toward the end of the week, we gathered at the house to use the deck to celebrate a birthday and visit with the family. Ron grilled venison that he had brought along.
Barbour County Health Department. |
Another part of the team worked at the health clinic to clean up, repair, and create a play area for the local children.
|
Sometimes, we travelled to the warehouse to sort clothing and organize materials. Other times, we needed to go and get supplies.
Church Service |
On one occasion, we attended church service at the Reynolds church. It was very charismatic.
|
Accomodations |
While in Phillipi, we stayed on the campus of Alderson Broaddus University. Meals at the college were amazing.
|
Seneca Rocks |
On our day off, we visited Seneca Rocks and Smoke Hole Caverns. This was an exciting exciting time because several have never been to Seneca.
