The Lower Yough - Ohiopyle State Park
This is one of my favorite places in the world. I have spent some quality time with good friends, enjoying this section of whitewater.
Cucumber Rapid is very picturesque.

It was a joy to paddle with Ed Gertler once again. The effortless way he moves this craft in and out of eddies is astonishing. What a great personality on and off the water.

Swimmers Rapid
This is of course one of my favorite surf spots. We typically spend an hour or surfing the hole and the tail waves.

The Rolling Bowman's, AKA Brian and Erin were frequent flyers at the Lower Yough. We spent many days enjoying the play. I remember dancing at swimmers with these two. One of use would spin and surf in the trough, while the other rides the foam pile. Then we would switch and circle. Fun Times!
Tom and Shannon were also on the Lower Yough often. Sure do miss these peeps!
We found a Hell bender in the eddy next to swimmers. This is one of the coolest critters that I have ever seen. - 2010

Yough Rock
Between Bottle of Wine and Double Hydraulic lies Yough Rock. Just upstream of Yough Rock is another fabulous rock for cliff diving. Sam did his first backflip in 2020.
