Lake Place Athletic Training Facility
We visited the Ski jumping training area. The big air jumps were amazing to see. I enjoyed watching athletic ability and the cool landings in the aerated pool. The trampoline looked like fun. Made me want to get one for the back yard. Aaron would certainly enjoy it.

Flume Trail System near Whiteface.
We rode 12 mile in the Flume trail system. These trails connect with Whiteface. We tried to climb "Poor Man's Shuttle" but it was extremely steep and we didn't want to get separated. The trails were very technical but Fun.

Hardy Mountain Trails
Hardy Mountain had some of the most fabulous trails. They are well maintained and flow well.
Just as we began the long decent, the hose on my hydration pack came loose. An entire gallon of water slow drained down my back and legs for during the ride down the mountain. We also road at Lussi, AKA the golf course. These trails had some constructed obstacles that were fun. Most of the trails were very difficulty with roots and rocks. Early in the day, I broke seat stay on my bike frame. At the end of the day, my front axle was broken. Tough gear Day. |

Weather Observatory.
We rode the gondola at Whiteface ski area. Some pretty spectacular views from this altitude, but the Weather Observatory was still 1000 feet higher. After driving the long windy road to the top of Whiteface, we hiked through a tunnel and road the elevator to the peak. Then, after exploring, we hiked down the narrow ridge to the castle and back to the truck.
