Kinzua Bridge State Park - June 2017
For our Anniversary, Lin and I took a short trip to visit Donnie and Lynette at their home in Galeton. While we were there, we visited the Coudersport ice mine, Kinzua Bridge State Park, and did some other site seeing along the way. It was a very enjoyable couple of days.
Visited the little museum in the visitors center.
Caudersport Ice Mine and Mini golf
We stopped here on the way to Kinzua on the recommendation of the Fahringers. Bought a hat at the gift shop but we were not willing to pay the price to tour the mine. Didn't even think that it was worth taking a picture of the mine entrance.

While picking up some groceries, we ran in to Linda's cousin Kerry. We ran into the whole family getting ice cream after playing some mini golf. This fine specimen of a crayfish was found stuck in bottom of a golf hole.

It was a beautiful drive home. We stopped in Wellsboro to walk around and see some of the old shops that Linda used to visit when her family had a cabin nearby.
Windows for the Teardrop camper
We had spotted a scrap yard on the way to Kinzua so we stopped on the way home to see if they happened to have a camper with some windows. We were in luck but had to borrow a socket set, trample through chest high weeds, and climb over a car to get to the windows. Pretty pleased with our find.
Bloomsburg
One last stop on the way home. This was our 25th anniversary. It made sense to visit our first home town. We drove by the Welliver farm house and walked around the town of Bloomsburg. When we stopped at Phillips Emporium, Helen was in the shop. She remembered which apartment we lived in and the we once left the sink overflow. She lent us the keys and gave us a chance to walk through the old apartment and reminisce. We should have taken more pictures.
