Washington DC with J and Angie and our family - July 7 - 10, 2014
We stayed at a Days Inn that was about a 1/2 mile walk from a Metro Station. It was an adventure purchasing Metro passes for everyone and learning how to get around the city. J and Angie had some adventures in their hotel room. Apparently the shower curtain rod fell off, the refrigerator didn't work, and mice got into their food. On the upside, the roof did not leak and nothing was stollen from our cars.

On the way to the city, we stopped at a Sky Zone. The boys had a blast bouncing and playing dodgeball against much smaller kids.
The National Mall.
The Washington Monument
Linda and I had not visited the Washington Monument before. It was pretty neat to see the inside and the view from the top. We were amazed by the historical murals that are inside the monument. We had a chance to see some of them on the way down. We were disappointed that you can no longer walk down the steps to see these.
The Lincoln Memorial
The Lincoln Memorial was of special interest to Ian. He had to purchase a few items in the gift shop.
World War II.We took some pictures of J, Angie, Cory, and Josh standing at the memorial for their home state. There was a world war II. veteran's presentation going on while we were there.
